Loved the experience, great vibes, great DJ, great weather, awesome promoters. Lucky, the promoter took care of me (as a solo female traveler, sometimes you need an extrovert to hype you up and include you) ! Owner was also there to oversee everything and make sure that everyone is having a good time!

Many thanks for a wonderful day! Despite the guide's absence, the boat's driver calmly and professionally handled both navigation and explanations. His constant attention to the wind and the sometimes turbulent conditions made the tour all the more impressive. An unforgettable experience, combining scenic beauty and boat handling. Well done to him

Everything was fine. Only the email from Headout stated a starting location, which was not correct. And it was also written that you had to be there by 7.00am. It was not clear to me that the departure point had been changed and that the time for the meeting point had also been changed to 7.15 am. This made the start very hectic for me! Best regards

Things to know before booking your Vis Island tours
All tours are full-day experiences, lasting around 10–11 hours, starting at 7am from Split or Trogir, depending on your choice.
Most tours take you on a 5 Island circuit covering Vis, Bisevo, Budikovac, Hvar and Pakleni Islands.
The world-famous Blue Cave is located on Biševo. Visits are regulated and last about 10–15 minutes. It's only accessed via small wooden boats through a narrow entrance.
Blue Cave entry tickets (€12–24 per person, depending on the season) are not included, so carry cash in euros to pay on-site.
You'll be boarding a modern speedboat with 8–12 guests, offering comfortable shaded seating and onboard facilities.
For a more exclusive experience, opt for a private tour, limited to 10 guests, with flexible departure from either Split or Trogir.
Another great option you can consider is the Blue Cave deluxe tour that includes the Blue Cave entry fee, a visit to Vis & Hvar Islands and PEKA lunch & drinks.
All tours provide a licensed skipper/guide, safety gear, and snorkeling equipment.
Your full day Blue Cave tour makes a stop at Komiža, an iconic fishing village on Vis Island where Mamma Mia 2 was filmed. Enjoy a coffee break by the harbour before continuing your tour.
Vis Town is a historic Croatian coastal town in a protected bay, known for its ancient ruins, Venetian architecture, vibrant squares, and serene atmosphere. You can go exploring its forts, local wineries, and experience the slow island life away from the crowds.
Local wineries
The island is famed for its local wineries and signature Vugava wine, a golden-white variety once favored by ancient Greeks. Visit family-run vineyards, sample local labels, and enjoy relaxed wine tastings amid scenic island landscapes.
Komiža village
Komiža is a picturesque fishing village on Vis Island’s western coast, known for its stone houses, narrow lanes, and laid-back charm.
Stiniva Beach
Stiniva Beach is a hidden cove on Vis Island, framed by dramatic cliffs and crystal-clear waters. The Blue Cave tour includes a stop here for swimming and snorkeling.

Tips for visiting the Vis Island
Best time to visit Vis Island:
May-June & September: Often considered shoulder season, this period is perfect for not-so-warm seas and fewer crowds.
July-August: This is the peak tourist season with the warmest weather, bustling beaches, lively festivals, and vibrant nightlife but also larger crowds and higher prices.
Best time of the day: Aim for early morning visits around 9am-11am for calm seas and perfect lighting at the Blue Cave.
Bring cash: Many beach bars and taverns on Vis Island still prefer cash. The Blue Cave entry ticket is also cash-only. Good thing is ATMs are available in Vis Town, but not on smaller islets.
Pack essentials: Carry swimwear, towel, sunglasses, sunscreen, and a hat. Some tours provide snorkeling gear, but bringing your own ensures the best fit.
Stay hydrated: Drinks are available on the islands but can be expensive. Bring a reusable water bottle or choose tours that include refreshments.
Reserve beach spots in advance: Popular stops like Stiniva Beach and the Blue Lagoon can get busy in summer. Booking ahead for sunbeds or tables is recommended.
Plan return transport: If using water taxis from Vis Town, check return schedules in advance, as boats may be less frequent outside peak season.
